FREEDA STRAWN

Freeda Mae Capps Strawn, 91, of Maud, Texas, died Saturday, March 25, 2017, at a local hospice. Mrs. Strawn was born Jan. 4, 1926, in Hotchatown, Okla. She was retired from Lone Star Army Ammunition Plant and a member of Redwater Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Doyle Strawn. Survivors include four nieces, Melanie McCallie of Hooks, Texas, Janet Dean of Nash, Texas, Carol Coleman of Beaverton, Ore., and Teresa Savage of Wylie, Texas; three nephews, David Willis and Ronald Willis of Fort Worth, Texas, and Thomas Capps of Houston, Texas; one sister-in-law, Nadine Capps of Texarkana, Texas; and two special friends, Cindy Porter and Ramona Amox. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Memorial Gardens Cemetery with the Rev. Ted Horn officiating. Burial will be under direction of Chapelwood Funeral Home.
