Rachel L. Cates, 71, of Texarkana, Ark., died Friday, March 24, 2017, at a local hospital. Mrs. Cates was born Sept. 11, 1945. She was a retired food service worker at Arkansas High School. Survivors include two sons and one daughter-in-law, Jeff and Angie Kennington and Joseph Anthony; four grandchildren, Zachary Kennington, Kayleigh Johnson, Nicholas Anthony and Katelyn Anthony; three siblings, Marvin Kennington, Marsha Pilgreen and Tracy Kennington; and a number of other relatives.
