LURENE CAMPBELL

Lurene Patrah Campbell, 71, of Portland, Ore., died Monday, May 8, 2017, in Portland. Ms. Campbell was born Nov. 28, 1945, in New Boston, Texas. She was a retired principal with Portland ISD. Survivors include two brothers, Billy Campbell of Inglewood, Calif., and Lewis Campbell Sr. of Texarkana, Texas; four sisters, Gale Campbell and Norma Brown of Texarkana, Dr. Lillian Wynn of Orlando, Fla., and Mary Wakefield of Wake Village, Texas; and a number of other relatives. Closed casket services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Macedonia Baptist Church with Dr. James Morris officiating. Burial will be in Chapelwood Memorial Gardens Cemetery under direction of Haynes Mortuary. Visitation will be 1 to 3 p.m. today at the funeral home.
