MARIE OGLESBY

DE QUEEN, Ark.—Marie Smith Oglesby, 94, of King Ryder community, Ark., died Wednesday, May 24, 2017, in a local hospital. Mrs. Oglesby was born Feb. 22, 1923, in Arkinda, Ark. She was a homemaker, a retired grocer and a member of King Ryder Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Oglesby. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Darrel and Sharon Oglesby; two daughters and sons-in-law, Anita and Billy Baker and Beatrice and Patrick Reed; one sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy and Gene Denbow of Yucca Valley, Calif.; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at King Ryder Church of Christ with James McRae officiating. Burial will be in Piney Cemetery under direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home.
