MARY PICKETT

DE QUEEN, Ark.—Mary Jane Pickett, 94, of Lockesburg, Ark., died Wednesday, May 24, 2017, in a Nashville, Ark., hospital. Miss Pickett was born Aug. 14, 1922, in Athens, Ark. She was co-owner of The Beauty Shop, Lockesburg, and a member of Old Union Missionary Baptist Church. Survivors include one sister-in-law, Neta Dell Pickett of Lockesburg; three nieces and spouses, Shelia and Jose Mendez of Texarkana, Barbara and Terry Butler of Nashville, Ark., and Diann and Wallace Wooten of Lockesburg; two nephews and one spouse, David and Katrina Pickett of Dierks, Ark., and Nelson Pickett of Dallas; and a number of other relatives. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Old Union Missionary Baptist Church with Donny Davis and James Gathright officiating. Burial will be in Old Union Cemetery under direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home. Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Online registration is at wilkersonfuneralhomes.com.
