Bobby Joe Braley

Bobby Joe Braley, age 67 of Maud Texas went to his heavenly home on Thursday, May 25, 2017 at his residence. Bobby was born August 26, 1949 in Ft. Worth, Texas. He was a lifelong resident of Maud, Texas, a member of Moss Springs Baptist Church and retired from Red River Army Depot. Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, Travis Braley and Mary Jane Braley, his brother, Billy Braley and one grandson, Braley Lake Thomas. Bobby is survived by his wife of 47 years, Rita Braley, one daughter and son in law, Melissa and Cory Thomas, and three grandsons Hunter, Rip and Rylan Thomas of Maud, Texas, three brothers and four sisters in law, Gary and Phyllis Braley of Lumberton, Texas, Donna Braley of Paducah, Texas, Gordon and Janet Braley of Burleson, Texas, BB and Cornelia Braley of Palestine, Texas, his step mother, Karol Braley of Warrenton, Texas and numerous other relatives. Family will receive friends Saturday, May 27, 2017 from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at Chapelwood Funeral Home, Nash, Texas. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 P.M., Sunday, May 28, 2017 at Chapelwood Funeral Home, Nash, Texas with Bro. Jerry Jones officiating. Interment will be in Old Union Cemetery, Simms, Texas under the direction of Bates Rolf Funeral Home, New Boston. The family will be at the home of Cory and Melissa Thomas and in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Old Union Cemetery Association, Simms, Texas.
