GURDON, Ark.—George "Lyndell" Stroud, 83, of Gurdon, Ark., died Sunday, May 28, 2017, in Arkadelphia, Ark. Mr. Stroud was born Sept. 7, 1933, in Gurdon. He was retired from Reynolds Metals and an Air Force veteran. He was preceded in death by one son, Kirby, and two daughters, Bridget and Sharon. Survivors include his wife, Mary Lou Stroud of Gurdon; one son, Greg Stroud of Gurdon; two daughters and one son-in-law, Susan and Jeff Jackson and Cary Goza of Gurdon; and one brother, Leonard Stroud of Pine Bluff, Ark. Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Pharr Funeral Home with Sonny Tucker officiating. Burial with military rites will be in Easley Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
