ATLANTA, Texas—Doris S. Hanson Gearlds, 77, of Maud, Texas, died Monday, Nov. 13, 2017, at her home. Mrs. Gearlds was born June 1, 1940, in DeQueen, Ark. She was a homemaker and a Baptist. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Hanson. Survivors include her husband, Joffree Gearlds of Maud; four sons, David Hanson of Douglassville, Texas, Rodney Hanson of Southside, Ala., Charles "Chuck" Hanson of Linden, Texas, and Mike Hanson of Maud; three brothers, Buddy Williams and Tommy Williams of Colorado and Dean Williams of Avinger, Texas; 13 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Rock Creek Baptist Church with Steve Minter officiating. Burial will be in Olive Branch Cemetery under direction of Hanner Funeral Service, .
