IONA NORMAN

LINDEN, Texas—iona Joyce Pruitt Norman, 98, of Linden died Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2017. Ms. Norman was born March 5, 1919. She was retired from Linden-Kildare School District and Day and Zimmerman Plant and a member of Retired Teachers Association and Professional Women's Club. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Verlene L. and Horace Houston of Dallas and Jacquelyn F. and John Anderson of Arlington, Texas; one sister-in-law, Lottie Mae Pruitt; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Macedonia Baptist Church, Linden, with the Revs. Paul Todd and Vincent Parker officiating. Burial will be in Macedonia Cemetery under direction of Linden Funeral Home. Visitation will be noon to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home and 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday at the church.
