JAMES MEADOWS
NAPLES, Texas—James Earl Meadows, 86, of Omaha, Texas, died Monday, Sept. 18, 2017, at his home.
Mr. Meadows was born Jan. 12, 1931, in Farmersville, Texas. He was a retired crane operator with Lone Star Steel, a member of First United Methodist Church, Omaha, and an Air Force veteran. He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Meadows.
Survivors include two daughters and one son-in-law, Ann Casey and Mike Johnson of Naples and Pam Meadows of Omaha; one son and daughter-in-law, James "Jimmy" and Laurie Meadows of Millers Grove, Texas; one sister, Faye Davenport of Oklahoma City; one brother-in-law, Michael Thigpen of Omaha; one special friend, Mae Coffey of Naples; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.
Services will be 3 p.m. Thursday at Harrison Funeral Home with the Rev. Jay Barnes officiating. Burial will be in Springhill Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2 to 3 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, Omaha, or Heart to Heart Hospice.
