FLORINE TAYLOR

HOPE, Ark.—Florine Taylor, 95, of Ozan, Ark., died Friday, Sept. 15, 2017, in Nashville, Ark. Mrs. Taylor was born Feb. 28, 1922, in Ozan. She was formerly employed with Western Auto, Nashville, a cafeterian worker with Lincoln High School, a teacher's aide with Washington Elementary School and a member of St. Mark CME Church and St. Peter CME Church, Ozan. She was preceded in death by one grandson, Marvis Earl Taylor; and one great-grandson, Yaves White. Survivors include her husband, R.C. Taylor; 10 children, Maple Swift, Leonard Taylor, R.C. Taylor Jr., Lancie Taylor, Audrey Taylor, Sharon Craven, Vanessa Swift and Gwendolyn Stewart of Ozan, Stanley Taylor of Hope and Carolyn Taylor of Gary, Ind.; 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 2:30 p.m. Saturday at St. Luke CME Church. Burial will be in St. Luke Cemetery under direction of Hicks Funeral Home. Visitation will be noon to 5 p.m. today at the funeral home.
