NAPLES, Texas—Jesse Luther "Luke" Collier Jr., 81, of Naples died Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2017, in a Tyler, Texas, hospital. Dr. Collier was born Dec. 31, 1935. He was a dentist, past president of Naples Chamber of Commerce and Naples Omaha Lions Club, an officer with Texas Dental Association, a trustee with Pewitt School Board, former member of Naples City Council, a member of Morris County Child Welfare Board and a Sunday School teacher with First Baptist Church, Naples. He was preceded in death by one grandson, Christopher Collier. Survivors include his wife, Lahoma Collier of Naples; four sons, Bryan Collier of Huntsville, Texas, Randy McMichael of Flower Mound, Texas, Scott McMichael of Naples and Brad Collier of Marshall, Texas; one daughter, Bonnie Best of Gilmer, Texas; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 2 p.m. today at First Baptist Church, Naples, with David Blase and Tommy Weems officiating. Burial will be in Leesburg Cemetery, Leesburg, Texas, under direction of Harrison Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Leesburg Cemetery Association.
