Charles Wayne "C.W." French, 72, of Hooks, Texas, died Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2017, in a Dallas hospital. Mr. French was born May 28, 1945, in Pittsburg, Texas. He was retired from Red River Army Depot, a former deacon and member of First Baptist Church, Hooks, and a Vietnam War Marine Corps veteran. Survivors include his wife, Barbara French of Hooks; one daughter and son-in-law, Tonya and Allen Lambright of Trenton, Texas; one son and daughter-in-law, Steven and Darcy French of Aliso Viejo, Calif.; two sisters, Vickie Sullivan of Mount Pleasant, Texas, and Kathleen French of Muldoon, Texas; two brothers, Harrison French of New Boston, Texas, and Jerry French of Houston; five grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at Chapelwood Funeral Home with the Rev. Roy Ford officiating. Burial with military honors will be 1:30 p.m. in Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery.
