ATLANTA, Texas—Leonard Mayfield "L.M." Jester Jr., 68, of Atlanta died Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2018, in a Texarkana, Texas, hospital. Mr. Jester was born Jan. 5, 1950, in Atlanta. He was administrator of Golden Villa Nursing Home, past president of Cass County Child Welfare Board and a member of Maud Gun Club, Arklatex Council of Governments for Silver Hair Legislation, THCA Texas Health Care Association and First Baptist Church, Queen City. Survivors include his wife, Ruth Garrison Jester of Atlanta; one son, Stephen Garrison of Hot Springs, Ark.; three daughters, Courtney Jester Morrison of Hurst, Texas, Julie Quast of Hot Springs and Laura Ahrens of Melissa, Texas; one brother, Linnie Murl Jester of Richardson, Texas; nine grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church, Queen City, Texas, with Ronnie Raines and the Rev. Marvin Campbell officiating. Burial will be 3 p.m. Dec. 14 in Crestview Memorial Park, Hot Springs, Ark., under direction of Hanner Funeral Service. Visitation will be 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the church.
