PINKIE SATTERWHITE

Pinkie Satterwhite, 90, of DeKalb, Texas, died Friday, Nov. 30, 2018, in a DeKalb nursing home. Ms. Satterwhite was born May 10, 1928, in DeKalb. She was a former childcare provider. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Satterwhite. Survivors include one sister-in-law, Mary Jones of DeKalb; six nieces, Sallie Dawson, Christine Daniels and Rosie Lowry of Dallas, Gertrude Thompson of DeKalb, Pearline Daniels of Denver, Colo., and Naomi Hogan of Texarkana; three nephews, Ocie Wyse and Jackie Harrell of Texarkana and Lonnie Daniels of Denver; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul Baptist Church with the Rev. Charles Murphy officiating. Burial will be in Garland Cemetery under direction of Haynes Mortuary.
