Charles McCants

PRESCOTT, Ark.—Charles G. McCants, 76, of Gurdon, Ark., died Thursday, Feb. 8, 2018, at his home. Mr. McCants was born Sept. 22, 1941, in Prescott. He was a retired Army master sergeant, Texarkana, Texas, police officer, owner/operator of three service stations and a Methodist. Survivors include his wife, Marian McCants of Gurdon; one son and daughter-in-law, Charles Gray and Becky McCants of Frisco, Texas; one daughter, Sherri Lynn Shoults of Heber Springs, Ark.; two grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at First Presbyterian Church, Gurdon, with Rusty Jones officiating. Burial with full military rites will be in Rose Hedge Cemetery under direction of Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home. Visitation will be noon to 2 p.m. Tuesday at the church.
