CLARKSVILLE, Texas—Dixie Lynn Gilbert, 72, of Avery, Texas, died Monday, March 12, 2018, in a Texarkana hospice. Mrs. Gilbert was born Sept. 1, 1945, in Racine, Wis. She was co-owner of Gary Peek Trucking Co. Survivors include her husband, Gary Peek of Avery; one son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Melissa Kunesh of Oakland, Calif.; three daughters and one son-in-law, Lauri Ann Abell of Belton, Texas, Melissa Elliott of Broken Arrow, Okla., and Kari and Adam Peek of New Boston, Texas; two sisters, Lisa Furnell of Tampa, Fla., and Dawn Stephien of Wisconsin; one brother, Randy Massruha of Tampa; five grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Clarksville Funeral Home with the Rev. Tommy Earl Burton officiating. Burial will be in Boxelder Cemetery.
