EVELYN BYERS

De QUEEN, ARk.—Mary Evelyn Dodds Byers, 83, of Richland, Mo., died Sunday, March 18, 2018, in a Springfield, Mo., hospital. Mrs. Byers was born Oct. 25, 1934, in Dierks, Ark. She was a retired Food Service Director with Waynesville Schools, a homemaker and a member of Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by one son, Paul Alan Byers. Survivors include her husband, Louis A. "Tuffy" Byers, Sr.; two sons and daughters-in-law, Louis A. Jr. and Tammy Byers and David and Debbie Byers; one daughter and son-in-law, Wanda Gail and Edward Zielonka; one brother, James Dodds; two sisters, Kay Chenoweth and Joyce Short; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 10 a.m. Friday at Chandler Funeral Home with Charles Foster Krudwig officiating. Burial will be in Valley Cemetery under direction of Chandler Funeral Home.
