NEVA PHELPS

CLARKSVILLE, Texas—Neva Odel Phelps, 95, of Sandersville, Texas, died Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2018, in a local nursing home after a lengthy illness. Mrs. Phelps was born in Avery, Texas. She was a homemaker and a Baptist. She was preceded in death by her husband, Damon Odell Phelps; and one daughter, Joe Evelyn Phelps Hawkins. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Johnny Frank and Annie Phelps of Plano, Texas; one daughter and son-in-law, Sharon Phelps and Wallace Smith of Sandersville; six grandchildren, Chance Clinton Hancock, Charles Clifton Hancock, Carol Roudebush, Steven Phelps, Shirley Polomine and Sally Koth; 12 great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Clarksville Funeral Home. Burial will be in Avery Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Avery Cemetery Association, P.O. Box 268, Avery, TX 75554.
