WILLIAM SIMMONS SR.

ASHDOWN, Ark.—William Sidell Simmons Sr., 87, of Ashdown died Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2018, at his home. Mr. Simmons was born Oct. 16, 1931, in Williamstown, W.Va. He was retired from the Army and a member of Hopewell Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Betty of Ashdown; one son, William Simmons Jr. of Oklahoma City; one daughter, Robin Walsh of Bakersfield, Calif.; one grandson, Michael Walsh; and two nephews. Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Hopewell Baptist Church with Ike Thompson officiating under direction of Madden Funeral Home. The body may be viewed 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with visitation 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Monday at the church.
