JUANITA LaPORTE

DE QUEEN, Ark.—Juanita Hopkins LaPorte, 83, of White Cliffs community, Ark., died Monday, April 8, 2019, in Texarkana, Texas Mrs. LaPorte was born May 3, 1935, in White Cliffs community. She was retired from Swoperidge Nursing Center, a former private care nurse and a member of Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church, White Cliffs community. She was preceded in death by her husband, George E. LaPorte; two sons, Ronald Keith Booker and Douglas Lydell Booker; and four daughters, Diann Hopkins, Janice Booker, Marlene Canady and Francine Canady. Survivors include six sons, Arnold Booker Jr., Larry Darrell Booker, Ernest Eugene Booker, Billy Odell Booker and Maverick Lamar Canady of Kansas City, Mo., and Bobby Oniel Booker of White Cliffs community; 30 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Services will be noon Saturday at Scott's Memorial United Methodist Church, Paraloma, Ark., with the Rev. Calvin Marbles officiating. Burial will be in Brownstown Cemetery under direction of Chandler Funeral Home. Visitation will be 11 a.m. to noon Saturday at the church. Online registration is at chandlerfuneral.com.
