HOPE, Ark.—Maple Jean Taylor Swift, 74, of Ozan, Ark., died Tuesday, April 2, 2019, in Texarkana, Texas. Mrs. Swift was born July 19, 1944. She was a cook and teacher's aide with Lincoln High School, formerly employed with Old Washington State Park, a babysitter, and a member of St. Mark CME Church and St. Peter CME Church, Ozan. She was preceded in death by one stepson, Willie Ray Johnson Swift. Survivors include two children, Leroy Swift Jr. and Stacie Marie Swift Dean; nine siblings, Leonard Taylor, R.C. Taylor Kr., Lancie Taylor, Audrey Taylor, Sharon Craven, Vanessa Swift and Gwendolyn Stewart of Ozan, Carolyn Taylor of Gary, Ind., and Stanley Taylor of Hope; 11 grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Maranatha Baptist Church, Nashville. Burial will be in St. Luke Gamble Cemetery, Ozan, Ark., under direction of Hicks Funeral Home. The body may be viewed 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. today at the funeral home.
