LESSIE GLEASON

Lessie Lanier Gleason, 90, of Texarkana died Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2019, at her home. Mrs. Gleason was born Jan. 28, 1929. She was a member of First United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Gleason; and one son, Jay Gleason. Survivors include one daughter, Jan Davis; one son-in-law, Michael Davis; one brother, Ray Lanier of Benton, Ark.; one sister-in-law, Janann Gleason of Texarkana; and two grandchildren, Tommy Dixon of Texarkana and Ashley Dixon of Little Rock. Memorial services will be 2 p.m. today at First United Methodist Church. Private burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park under direction of East Funeral Home, Downtown. Visitation will follow services at the church. Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church or Hospice of Texarkana. Relatives will be at 2016 Beech St., Texarkana, Ark.
