ATLANTA, Texas—Henry Allen King Jr., 89, of Atlanta died Friday, Feb. 8, 2019, at his home. Mr. King was born Aug. 12, 1929, in Atlanta. He owned an insurance and real estate business, formerly worked at Atlanta Federal Savings and Loan and was a member of First Baptist Church, Lions Club and Rotary Club. He was preceded in death by a wife, Helen King. Survivors include his wife, Mildred A. King of Atlanta; one son and daughter-in-law, Stephen King and Martha Dimmers of Lake Forest Park, Wash.; one stepson, Lewis Smith of Houston; three grandchildren, Carys Dimmers-King, Genesis Dimmers-King and Gabriel Dimmers-King of Lake Forest Park; two stepgrandchildren, Porter Smith and Conner Smith of Houston, Texas; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives. Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church with Dale Perkins officiating. Burial will be in Pine Crest Cemetery under direction of Hanner Funeral Service. Visitation will be from 12:30 to 2 p.m. Tuesday at the church. Memorials may be made to Runnin' WJ Ranch, 4802 S. Kings Highway, Texarkana, TX 75501, or to a charity of choice.
