NEW BOSTON, Texas—Wallace Carroll Deaton, 65, of Texarkana, Ark., died Friday, Feb. 8, 2019. Mr. Deaton was born Nov. 7, 1953, in Texarkana, Texas. He was a retired construction worker and laborer, and a member of Downtown First Baptist Church. Survivors include four sisters, Gloria Gomez and Pearl Witt of Texarkana, Ark., and Margie Jones and Mary Helen Booth of Texarkana, Texas; three brothers, David Deaton and Tommie Deaton of Texarkana, Ark., and Eddie Deaton of Arlington, Texas; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives. Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Downtown First Baptist Church with Josh Bishop officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens under direction of Bates Rolf Funeral Home.
