HOPE, Ark.—Lavelle Bonds, 90, of Blevins, Ark., died Sunday, Jan. 6, 2019, in Texarkana, Texas. Mr. Bonds was born Feb. 12, 1928, in Blevins. He was formerly employed by Corn Belt Hatchery, a former member of Blevins school Board, a member of Marlbrook Baptist Church and a Navy veteran. He was preceded in death by his wife, Genetha Mouser Bonds. Survivors include his wife, Rebecca Fielden Bonds of Blevins; one son, Donald Bonds of Blevins; one daughter and son-in-law, Peggy and David Butler of Blevins; one sister and brother-in-law, Mary Beth and John Stallsworth; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; six nieces; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 10 a.m. today at Marlbrook Baptist Church, Blevins, with Jerry Hill officiating. Burial will be in Marlbrook Cemetery under direction of Herndon-Fuqua Funeral Home.
