DeKALB, Texas—Jenna Victoria Benton, 92, of DeKalb died Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2019, in a Texarkana hospital. Mrs. Benton was born May 9, 1926, in DeKalb. She was a retired teacher with DeKalb ISD and a member of Lions Club and Mount Pisgah Baptist Church, DeKalb. She was preceded in death by her husband, Barmas Benton. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert C. and Amy Benton of Highland, Ill., and Barmas G. and Shelisa Benton of Rowlett, Texas; one daughter and son-in-law, Nicole and Martin Rubio of Santa Clarita, Calif.; one sister, Dr. Mattie S. Johnson of Nashville, Tenn.; two grandsons, Chad Benton and Jarrett Benton; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Bates Family Funeral Home with the Rev. Edward Moss officiating. Burial will be in Garland Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
