VIRGINIA STARNES

NEW BOSTON, Texas—Virginia Starnes, 73, of Texarkana, Texas, died Sunday, Jan. 13, 2019, in a local nursing home. Mrs. Starnes was born July 22, 1945 in DeKalb, Texas. She was a homemaker and a member of Church of God. She was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Henry Starnes; and one son, Gary Starnes. Survivors include four sons, Nick Starnes, Ricky Starnes Sr., and Anthony Starnes of Texarkana and Danny Starnes of Redwater, Texas; five daughters, Kay Dunham and Gail Herrington of Knoxville, Tenn., Cindy Singleton, Annitta Gossett and Shelley Moya of Texarkana; 24 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Woodstock Cemetery with Darren Faulknor officiating. Burial will be in Woodstock Cemetery under direction of Bates-Rolf Funeral Home.
