HOPE, Ark.—Essie Mae Sasser, 91, of Bradley, Ark., died Friday, Jan. 11, 2019, at her home. Ms. Sasser was born Aug. 8, 1927. She was a former member of Bradley City Council and a member of Power House COGIC. Survivors include three daughters and one son-in-law, Hazel and George Davis, Mae Jean Mitchell and Florine Thomas of Houston, one son and daughter-in-law, Herman and Billie Jean Sasser of Vivian, La.; 15 grandchildren including Patricia Flowers-Green and spouse Brent of Houston; 19 great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Springhill Civic Center, Springhill, La. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery under direction of Brandon's Mortuary.
