DeKALB, Texas—Cleo Green, 97, of DeKalb died Wednesday, July 3, 2019, in a local nursing home. Mrs. Green was born June 20, 1922, in Bowie County, Texas. She was a homemaker, former treasurer and member of Truevine Baptist Church and a member of St. Paul Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Milton Green; and one son, Willie Green. Survivors include one daughter, Ann Owens of DeKalb; one daughter-in-law, Bessie Green of DeKalb; seven grandchildren, Judy Seals of Katy, Texas, Anthony Daniels of Dallas, Harold Owens of Menifee, Calif., Alex "Scotty" Owens of Mansfield, Texas, Tanja Liar of Pearland, Texas, Kendrick Green of Mesquite, Texas, and Melvin Owens of Argyle, Texas; 20 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul Baptist Church with Kenneth L. Palmer, Billy Daniels Sr. and Billy Daniels Jr. officiating.
