VERL VERITY

Verl Lee Verity, age 68, of Maud, Texas, died Monday, July 15, 2019, in a local hospital. Mr. Verity was born April 18, 1951, in Moose Jaw, Saskatche-wan, Canada. He was former office manager of HMB Construction and most recently was a faithful employee of Dot Williford of Dot's Rentals. From the time Verl was a young man, he always had a side job of mowing elderly friend's yards, never turning down even one. He also loved classic cars and was a Baptist who attended Rock Creek Baptist Church, Maud. Survivors include his wife of twenty-six years, Lynda Verity of Maud; his children, Dustin Verity (Alice) of Honolulu, HI, Alexander Verity (fiancé- Christina) of Tulsa, OK and Brittny Nix (Glenn) of Maud; four grandchildren, Kane Verity, Kaiden Verity, Thane Verity and Matthew Nix; his mother, Peggy Harris of Cranbrook, B.C.; his siblings and their spouses, Arletta Riemann (Mike) of Cranbrook, B.C., Doug Verity (Pam) of Spokane, WA, Eulila Brewington (Mike) of Vancouver, WA and Jim Verity (Claire) of Seattle, WA; along with numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend a special thank you to good friends, Billy Don Wagner and family, Dick Francis and family and Kirby & Doc. Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Thursday, July 18, 2019, at the Chapelwood Mausoleum Chapel with Rev. Steve Minter officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM Wednesday at Chapelwood Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your local Animal Shelter.
