Pauline Foshee Simmons left this world on July 15, 2019 and went to heaven to be with her Savior, Jesus Christ. She was born on December 5, 1928 to George and Dorothy Foshee in Kildare, Texas. Pauline graduated from Kildare High School. In 1946, she married her high school sweetheart Horace O'Neal Simmons. They eventually settled in Kildare where they raised three sons. Horace passed away in 1976 and she devoted her time to raising her youngest son. She volunteered her time at Atlanta Memorial Hospital for 18 years. She worshiped at First Baptist Church in Kildare her entire life where she taught children's Sunday School classes for 28 years. She was honored to receive the Kildare Community Builder Award from the Masonic Lodge. Seven years ago, she moved to Atlanta to be near her sons. The last year of life, she lived at Wesley House in Atlanta, where she enjoyed making new friends. Pauline was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her siblings Ovid Mackey, Lillie Hawthorn, Faye Surratt, and James Foshee. She is survived by her sons Donny Horace Simmons (Beth), Danny O'Neal Simmons (Susan), Dave Michael Simmons (Terri); her siblings Ben Foshee, Melba Ferden, Lavelle Foshee, Shirley Blake, Elmer Mackey, Darlene Wood, and Willie Mackey. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00 on Saturday, July 20, at First Baptist Church in Queen City, Texas. The service will be immediately following visitation at the same location. Bro. Virgil Ragland will be officiating. Interment will follow at Kildare Cemetery.
