Elnora Richie

MOUNT PLEASANT, Texas—Elnora Standberry Richie, 84, of Houston died Thursday, June 6, 2019. Ms. Richie was born Sept. 16, 1934, in Mount Pleasant. She was retired from Titus County Memorial Hospital and a member of Mount Gilmore Baptist Church. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Aubra Joann and Vernon Williams of Houston; one son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Lorraine Richie of Dallas; one sister, Emma Jones of Mount Pleasant; one brother, L.B. Standberry of Mount Pleasant; two grandsons, Byron Williams of Houston and Delandry Williams of Baton Rougue; three great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at First COGIC, Mount Pleasant, with Superintendent Tommy Smith officiating. Burial will be in Cortznes Cemetery under direction of Tumey Mortuary. The body may be viewed 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday with visitation 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Online registration is at tumeymortuary.com.
