Bettie Morris

Bettie Sue Morris, 64, of Texarkana, Texas, died Friday, June 7, 2019, in a local hospital. Ms. Morris was born Aug. 10, 1954. She was a former school teacher and a member of Christ Nations Church. She was preceded in death by one son, Brandon Morris. Survivors include two daughters, Rosalind Morris of Tulsa, Okla., and Bettinia Morris of Texarkana; her mother, Willie Marie Marshall of Pine Bluff, Ark.; one sister, Sharon Howard of Las Vegas; and two brothers, Sylvester Mayhew of New York City and Therelow Davis. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Christ Nations Church with Isaac Pitre officiating under direction of Haynes Mortuary. Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home, and 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday at the church. Online registration is at haynesmortuary.com.
