AUTREY VAUGHN JR.

HOPE, Ark.—Autrey Vaughn Jr., 78, of Columbus, Ark., died Wednesday, March 6, 2019. Mr. Vaughn was born Feb. 22, 1941, in Columbus. He was a retired self-employed logger. He was preceded in death by his wife, Julia Lee Vaughn; and one son, Lloyd Vaughn. Survivors include seven sons, Wayne Vaughn of Saratoga, Ark., Howard Vaughn of Fredericksburg, Va., Harold Vaughn and Winfred Vaughn of Columbus, Maurice White of Jacksonville, Fla., Michael White of McKinney, Texas, and Ryan Vaughn of Texarkana; one daughter, Mary Ann Johnson of Hope; one brother, James Vaughn of Saratoga, Ark.; two sisters, Jewel Smith of McNab, Ark., and Annie Lee Wyatt of Columbus; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Macedonia Baptist Church, Washington, Ark. Burial will be in Camp Springs Cemetery under direction of Hicks Funeral Home. Visitation will be 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
