VERNICE SIMON

Vernice Simon, 89, of St. Louis, Mo., died Tuesday, March 5, 2019, in St. Louis. Ms. Simon was born Aug. 23, 1929, in Prescott, Ark. She was a member of Sunset Missionary Baptist Church and Olivet Missionary Baptist Church. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Roger L. Sr. and Melinda Simon of Texarkana; three daughters and one son-in-law, Rose R. Simon of Texarkana, Brenda J. Simon-Jenkins and Clark Jenkins of Florissant, Mo.; and Linda M. Simon-Greene of St. Louis; one brother, Joe Snowden of Texarkana; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Sunset Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Harrison Moorehead and Elder Roger L. Simon Sr. officiating. Burial will be in Queen City Cemetery, Queen City, Texas, under direction of Haynes Mortuary. The body may be viewed 9 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Saturday at the church.
