Luther Satterfield

NEW BOSTON, Texas—Luther Franklin Satterfield, 82, of Hooks, Texas, died Saturday, March 16, 2019, at a DeKalb, Texas, nursing home. Mr. Satterfield was born Dec. 15, 1936, in Mandeville, Ark. He was a heavy equipment operator with the Texas Department of Transportation. Survivors include his wife, Agniss Satterfield of Hooks; one son and daughter-in-law, Keith and Virgie Satterfield of Hooks; one daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Paul George of Hooks; one brother, Bill Satterfield of Tyler, Texas; two grandchildren, Jennifer Satterfield of Texarkana, Texas, and Kayla Satterfield of Hooks; three great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Bates Rolf Funeral Home with the Rev. Brad Watson officiating. Burial will be in Savannah Cemetery, Avery, Texas.
