DeKALB, Texas—June Davis, 78, of DeKalb died Saturday, May 11, 2019, in a Texarkana, Texas, hospital. Mrs. Davis was born May 3, 1941, in Springhill, Ark. She was a retired postmaster and a member of First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Kenten Lowrie. Survivors include her husband, Gene Davis of DeKalb; two daughters and one son-in-law, Darla and Fred Diorio and Ginger Lowrie of Euless, Texas; four grandchildren, Derek Diorio, Haley Bargass, Makenzie Francisco and Kendel Lowrie; two great-grandchildren, Emmalyn Diorio and Lyla Diorio; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church with the Revs. Roy Ford and James Sparks officiating. Burial will be in Woodmen Cemetery under direction of Bates Family Funeral Home.
