MAGNOLIA, Ark.—Helen Cleo Harper, 88, of Magnolia died Tuesday, May 7, 2019, at her home. Ms. Harper was born Nov. 22, 1930, in Magnolia. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jasper Harper; one son; two daughters; five grandsons; and one great-granddaughter. Survivors include four daughters, Betty Harper of Texarkana, Texas, and Virginia Rankins, Thelma Smith and Essie Mae Mallory of Magnolia; two sons, Harvey Lee Harper of Stephens, Ark., and Robert Lee Harper of Magnolia; three sisters, Bernice Hawthorne of Springhill, La., Margie Reed of Texarkana and Bonnie Jean Mallory of Magnolia; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Antioch Baptist Church. Burial will be in Kings Hill Cemetery under direction of R.L. Reed Funeral Home.
