WARREN ECKERT

Warren Ray Eckert, 71, of Hooks, Texas, died Saturday, May 11, 2019, in a local hospital. Mr. Eckert was born Aug. 17, 1947, in Baltimore, Md. He was a helicopter pilot, a Sunday School director with Myrtle Springs Methodist Church, Virginia Beach Methodist Church and Scott Memorial Methodist Church, and a Navy veteran. Survivors include his wife, Dixie Eckert of Hooks; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Layne Eckert of Plano, Texas, and Travis and Erin Eckert of Texarkana, Texas. No services are scheduled at this time. Cremation is under direction of East Funeral Home, Downtown. Visitation will be noon to 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
