DeKALB, Texas—Marvelle Pinkham, 88, of DeKalb died Tuesday, May 14, 2019, in a Texarkana, Texas nursing home. Mrs. Pinkham was born Sept. 8, 1930, in DeKalb. She was a retired teacher with DeKalb ISD and a member of First Baptist Church, DeKalb. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Pinkham; and one daughter, Rebecca Pinkham. Survivors include three daughters and two sons-in-law, Jan and Tim Martin of DeKalb, Jill Nelson and fiance Kevin Goulet of Waco, Texas, and Robyn and Fred Gregory of Arlington, Texas; one son, Mark Pinkham of DeKalb; eight grandchildren; three great-grandsons; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church, DeKalb, with the Rev. James Sparks and Andrew Nelson officiating. Burial will be in Woodmen Cemetery under direction of Bates Family Funeral Home. Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday at the church. Online registration is at batesfamilyfuneralhome.com.
