DeKALB, Texas—Shirley Ann Kruse, 80, of Simms, Texas, died Tuesday, May 14, 2019, in Mount Vernon, Texas. Mrs. Kruse was born July 27, 1938, in Corley, Texas. She was a homemaker and a member of Word of Faith Church. She was preceded in death by two daughters, Brenda Barron and Sherry Kruse; and one grandson, Shorty Barron. Survivors include her husband, Franklin Kruse of Simms; two sons, Ronnie Allen of Lone Oak, Texas, and Frank Kruse of Keller, Texas; three daughters, Barbara Roach of Simms, Debra Barron of Mount Vernon, Texas, and Mitzi Baylus of Sulphur Springs, Texas; two sisters, Melba Pool and Gail Walker; one brother, Carl Kemp; 14 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Bates Family Funeral Home with the Revs. Shannon Crawford and Steve Minter officiating. Burial will be in Sand Hill Cemetery.
