Kenneth Spears

Kenneth Wayne Spears Sr., 80, of Texarkana, Ark., died Sunday, May 19, 2019, in a local hospice. Mr. Spears was born March 12, 1939, in Texarkana. He was a member of Mandeville Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Melinda Spears of Texarkana; two daughters and sons-in-law, Paula and Kelsey Owens of Texarkana and Susan and Charles Parsons of Senoia, Ga.; one son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth Jr. and Shelley Spears of Texarkana; three sisters, Lora Lee Hickerson of Texarkana, Louise Patterson of Shafter, Calif., and Faye Williamson of Fort Wayne, Ind.; 11 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at East Memorial Home, Downtown, with the Rev. Ken Guthrie officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Mandeville Baptist Church. Online registration is at eastfuneralhomes.com.
