Frances Marie Poore, 96, of Texarkana, died Tuesday, October 29, 2019 in a local nursing center. Mrs. Poore was born March 22, 1923 in Ozan, Arkansas. She was retired from Red River Army Depot and was a member of the Hardy Memorial United Methodist Church. Marie was a good friend to many, many people. She was known for her style, her beautiful smile, her impeccable taste and love for the arts. She was known around town and in the art community for her beautiful art work. She was generous, gracious, forgiving, loving, patient, kind and strong. She was a devoted wife and awesome mother. She loved nature, but most important she loved her Lord and her Church. Whenever you would visit her, you would find the coffee pot ready to brew and an abundance of cherry cheesecakes. There are many memories of her in her kitchen cooking up favorite meals and delicious desserts. We will always just remember her as our mom who loved us all unconditionally. There will always be an empty spot in our hearts, but our memory of her will never fade. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dub Poore; one son, Robbie Poore. Her son Jerry Dale Poore Sr. died five days after her passing. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Bill Waddell of Texarkana; one son and two daughters-in-law, Dennis and Wendy Poore of California and Lynda Poore of Texarkana; twelve grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren. Memorial services will be held at 12 noon Friday at the Texarkana Funeral Home, Texas Chapel with Jerry Black and Rev. Brian Humphries officiating. Visitation will be Thursday at the funeral home from 6:00-7:30 P.M. Memorials can be made to the Hardy Memorial United Methodist Church.
