Freddie WENDEBURG
Fredrick "Freddie" Daniel Wendeburg, age 94, of Wake Village, Texas, died Saturday, November 9, 2019 in a local hospital.
Mr. Wendeburg was born February 22, 1925 in San Antonio, Texas. He was retired from Red River Army Depot, was a member of the Elk's Lodge and was a U.S. Navy veteran having served in WW II and the Korean War.
He loved all types of racing and had a need for speed.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Cheryl Ann Furlow; by his parents, Fredrick Rudolph Wendeburg and Emma Gertrude Wendeburg and by one brother Richard Wendeburg.
He is survived by his wife, Faye Ingram Wendeburg of Wake Village, Texas; two daughters, Diana Bliffert of Brenham, Texas and Cindy Vickers of Texarkana, Arkansas; one son, Curtis Wendeburg of Texarkana, Texas; five grandchildren, Stephanie Hooper, Christy Vickers, Danielle Vickers, Brandi Conn and Nick Wendeburg; four great grandchildren, Jaxon Vickers, Madison Conn, Colt Conn, Brody Conn and a number of other relatives.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday at the Chapelwood Funeral Home Chapel with Robert Watson officiating. Burial will be in Chapelwood Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday evening from 6:00 to 7:30 P.M.
