Wanda Joyce Martin

Wanda Joyce Martin, 81, of New Boston, Texas passed away Thursday, November 14, 2019 at a local care facility. Wanda was born March 27, 1938 in De Kalb, Texas to Melvin Sanford and Melba Marie Randolph Caddenhead. She was a retired Phlebotomist with Collom and Carney Clinic in Texarkana, Texas and a member of Malta Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William "Bill" Martin; two step-daughters, Donna Ricks and infant Martin; and one granddaughter, Tamra Peek. She is survived by two sons, Bruce Peek and his companion, Dorothy Pace of New Boston, Texas and Larry Peek and his wife Laura of Malta, Texas; three grandchildren, James Peek, Matthew Peek, and Andrea Peek; two great grandchildren; one step-daughter, Vickie Coleman and her husband, David of De Kalb, Texas; one step-son, David and his wife, Dot Martin of Malta, Texas; a number of step grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; and numerous other family members and friends. Services will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, November 16, 2019 at Bates Family Funeral Home in De Kalb, Texas with Rev. Roy Ford and Rev. Todd Reed officiating. Interment will follow at Woodmen Cemetery in De Kalb, Texas. Visitation will be held 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. Saturday, November 16, 2019 at Bates Family Funeral Home in De Kalb, Texas.
