Josephine Moreno-Villarreal

Josephine "Josie" Moreno Villarreal, 86, of Texarkana, Texas, died Tuesday, September 17, 2019, in a local hospital. Ms. Villarreal was born December 30, 1932 in El Paso, Texas. She was a retired radiology technician with Southern Clinic and Medical Arts Hospital and lover of all animals great and small. She is preceded in death by her mother, Elena Moreno, her father, Juan Moreno, and one brother, Roberto Soto Moreno. She is survived by three children, Teresa Villarreal of Columbus, Ohio, Ronald Villarreal of Wake Village, Texas, and Gloria Leopard and her husband Tommy Leopard of Purcell, Oklahoma; two granddaughters, Christal Sutton of Texarkana, Texas, and Ashley Skyler Leopard of Purcell, Oklahoma; two special family members, David Sutton of Wake Village, Texas, and Dean Hollis of Columbus, Ohio; two loving pets, Rascal and Yum Yum; and a number of other relatives and close friends. The body will lie in state until services. Services will be held on Thursday, September 19, 2019 at 2 pm at Texarkana Funeral Home on Texas Boulevard with Father Lawrence Chellaian officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Texarkana Funeral Home. The family requests memorials be made to Texarkana Humane Society or an animal rescue of your choosing.
