Iva Nell Fannin

Iva Nell Fannin passed away Thursday, September 19, 2019 at her home in De Kalb, Texas. She was 81. Iva Nell was born April 24, 1938, in De Kalb, Texas to George Edward and Lena Mae Ivey Cavin. She was a retired Inventory Control Specialist from Red River Army Depot and CoOwner of Fannin Farms. Iva Nell was a member of First Baptist Church in De Kalb, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Cavin Fannin. She is survived by her husband, Richard Fannin of De Kalb, Texas; two sons, Gary Fannin and his wife, Kelli of De Kalb, Texas and Timothy Fannin of De Kalb, Texas; one daughter-in-law, Michele Fannin of De Kalb, Texas; one brother, Mike Cavin; eight grandchildren, Britnie Vera and her husband, Joshua, Cavin Reed Fannin, Micah Fannin and his wife, Carrie, Westin Fannin and his wife Candace, Raley Tanner and her husband, Winston, Foster Fannin, Grant Fannin and Rachel Fannin; five great grandchildren, Aidan Vera, Conner Vera, Avery Vera, Ella Mae Fannin, and Maddox Fannin; one niece, Emily Cavin; one nephew, Casey Cavin; and numerous other family members and friends. Services will be 3:00 P.M. Sunday, September 22, 2019 at First Baptist Church in De Kalb, Texas with Walter Jackson, Charles Fannin, James Boyd Strain, and James Sparks officiating. Interment will follow at Woodmen Cemetery in De Kalb, Texas. Visitation will be held from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Saturday, September 21, 2019 at Bates Family Funeral Home in De Kalb, Texas.
