Last week I had the opportunity to visit with Bill Sharp. A custom model builder and former car salesman, Sharp, 84, has amassed a vast photo collection over the years. Numbering around 1,000 or more photos, the collection provides a look at Texarkana history stretching back to the late 19th century.
I thoroughly enjoyed his sentiments about today’s society and the lack of community our present situation incurs. Hearing his stories of a time when everyone knew each other, when the “village” really did raise the child.
