We were asked to come up with a photo illustration for a bill signed into law last week by Gov. Rick Perry and filed by Texas State Rep. George Lavender, that could sidestep a 2007 federal energy efficiency law that ends the sale of incandescent bulbs by 2014. Originally Evan’s idea, we decided to shoot an incandescent bulb and try to make the wire frame inside in the shape of Texas.

I shot this with the bulb on and a model light on bulb at f/13 with a shutter speed of 250 and 100 ISO. Once i got a decent image of the bulb I traced an image of texas in white and clone stamped the yellow glow around it.
